Project Manager (M&E)

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Take overall ownership of M&E project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Lead and coordinate MEP systems, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, ACMV, ELV, and other critical building services.

• Drive the full project lifecycle from design coordination and installation through testing, commissioning, and final handover.

• Manage and coordinate M&E consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

• Review and oversee M&E design development, technical submissions, shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.

• Identify and resolve technical challenges, site issues, design clashes, and project risks to maintain smooth project progress.

• Monitor project schedules, manpower, resources, materials, and costs while ensuring key milestones are achieved.

• Lead testing, commissioning, inspection, and troubleshooting of M&E systems to ensure full functionality and compliance with project requirements.

• Ensure all M&E works comply with relevant codes, statutory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.

• Work closely with clients, consultants, authorities, and project teams to drive effective communication and successful project delivery.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project engineers and M&E team members.

• Support project tendering, cost evaluation, variation works, and commercial discussions where required.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.

• Strong knowledge of MEP, Fire Protection, ACMV, ELV, plumbing, electrical, and other building services systems.

• Proven experience managing M&E design, installation, testing, commissioning, and overall project delivery.

• Strong project management, coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• Able to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple project priorities effectively.

• Strong understanding of project schedules, technical documentation, quality control, and site coordination.
