QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team and manage the commercial and contractual aspects of construction and engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, tender preparation, measurement, contract administration, variation claims, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
• Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts and other project documentation to identify scope and cost requirements.
• Lead procurement processes including preparation of contract documents and negotiations
• Administer and manage main and subcontractor contracts, including claims, variations, and interim valuations
• Monitor project costs and cash flow, and prepare cost reports and forecasts
• Ensure proper documentation of all contractual and financial matters
• Liaise with project managers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, legal regulations, and industry standards

Job Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably in building or infrastructure projects
• Strong experience in cost control, project budgeting, and tendering processes
• Proven ability to handle claims, VO assessments, and final account settlement
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
