We work closely with large enterprises and public-sector organizations across Singapore and the broader Asia-Pacific region to identify high-impact use cases and deploy AI systems directly into real business environments.

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineer(FDE) to work closely with enterprise and public-sector customers to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI solutions using the ELGO AI Platform.

This role sits at the intersection of solution engineering, AI engineering, software engineering, and customer delivery.

You will engage directly with business and technical stakeholders, understand operational problems, translate requirements into solution designs, configure and deploy AI workflows, and drive projects from initial scoping through production rollout.

While this is not primarily a traditional full-stack development role, you should have a firm understanding of software engineering and full-stack system architecture to design robust solutions, work effectively with customer developers, and handle integrations across enterprise systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Work directly with customer stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points, requirements, and technical constraints.
• Translate business requirements into clear solution architectures, workflows, integration designs, and implementation plans.
• Design, configure, test, and deploy AI applications and agentic workflows using the ELGO AI Platform.
• Work with APIs, databases, enterprise systems, authentication services, and other integrations required for customer solutions.
• Apply AI engineering concepts including prompt design, RAG, agentic workflows, evaluation, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop processes.
• Lead technical discussions and communicate solution trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Coordinate closely with customer teams, ELGO AI engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders throughout implementation.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and drive technical problems through to resolution.
• Conduct technical enablement and knowledge transfer for customer developers and users.
• Conduct AI developer training for customer developers on the ELGO AI Platform and agentic system production lifecycle.
• Capture recurring deployment patterns and field learnings to improve ELGO AI’s platform and implementation playbooks.
• Take ownership of project delivery and ensure solutions meet agreed business and technical outcomes.

What We Are Looking For

Strong Software Engineering Foundation:
You have a firm understanding of full-stack software engineering, including frontend applications, backend services, APIs, databases, system architecture, cloud environments, and software development practices.

We do not require experience with any specific frontend or backend programming language.

Solution Design Capability:
You can translate ambiguous business problems into practical technical solutions and understand how different components, systems, data sources, and workflows fit together.

Customer-Facing & Stakeholder Management:
You are comfortable working directly with enterprise customers, facilitating discussions, managing expectations, gathering requirements, and communicating with stakeholders across business and technical teams.

AI Engineering Experience:
You understand practical AI application development concepts such as LLMs, RAG, prompting, agentic workflows, tool usage, evaluation, guardrails, and production deployment.

High Ownership:
You are comfortable taking responsibility for an implementation from problem definition through deployment rather than operating within a narrowly defined engineering scope.

Strong Problem Solver:
You can navigate ambiguous environments, diagnose technical and process issues, make pragmatic trade-offs, and drive problems toward resolution.

Strong Communication Skills:
You can explain technical concepts clearly, structure complex problems, and communicate effectively with executives, business users, engineers, and product teams.

Enterprise Experience Preferred:
Experience delivering enterprise software, AI solutions, system integrations, consulting, solution engineering, or technical implementation projects is highly preferred.

Location
