Senior Service Engineer (Automation)/

Roles & Responsibilities

* Monday to Friday - 8.30am - 6pm

* Location: Woodlands

* Class 3 license is a must

* Permanent

Our client provides engineering services like valve automation to the petrochemical, oil & gas, and pharmaceutical industry

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 4 engineers in performing installation, commissioning, calibration, overhaul, and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuators and related control systems/valves or ad hoc systems.

• Plan daily service schedules, manpower deployment, and job coordination with the Operations Manager.

• Conduct root cause analysis and provide detailed technical recommendations for service improvement.

• Take charge of major shutdown, turnaround, and retrofit projects, acting as Site-In-Charge.

• Train, coach, and evaluate team leaders and junior engineers to raise skill competency.

• Act as the primary on-site contact for clients’ maintenance and operations teams.

Technical & Operational Coordination

• Work closely with the Technical Manager on technical matters, service procedures, and job method statements.

• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols (PTW, JSA, risk assessment) at client sites.

• Develop and approve Method Statements, Risk Assessment, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for specific work scopes.

• Managing tooling, calibration, and critical spare parts inventory for the service team.

• Liaise with logistics and stores for parts and tools readiness before job mobilization.

• Verify service documentation, reports, and timesheets submitted by team members.
