JOB SUMMARY

Position Overview: The Kitchen Lead / All-Rounder is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations while maintaining full operational fluency across all shop functions. In addition to leading food prep, inventory, and kitchen standards, this role works directly across both Back-of-House (BOH) and Front-of-House (FOH)—including basic coffee execution and counter service. They ensure high product quality, efficient service flow, and strict compliance with food safety guidelines across the entire store.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

• Cross-Functional Shop Leadership: Oversee daily kitchen workflow while maintaining cross-trained competency in FOH operations, including taking orders, counter service, and basic espresso/beverage execution.

• Food Preparation & Quality Control: Plan and execute daily food preparation, refine recipes, and enforce strict consistency, taste, and presentation across all menu items.

• Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor ingredients and retail supplies, track usage, manage stock rotation, and place vendor orders to maintain optimal inventory with minimal waste.

• Team Supervision & Operations: Assist in training, scheduling, and guiding junior staff across both kitchen and counter duties to ensure smooth service transitions and high productivity.

• Food Safety, Hygiene & Maintenance: Enforce stringent SFA hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards across the kitchen, beverage station, and service areas at all times.

• Ad-Hoc Store Support: Step in flexibly across any store function as needed to support smooth daily operations and high customer satisfaction.
