Resident Engineer / Resident Technical Officer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Review all project drawings and specifications, and raise any discrepancies and/or possible problems before construction work commence on site and progressively throughout the entire course of the project
• Attend site meetings, conduct site inspections, review method of statements in relation to the project and resolve technical issues
• Supervise and the construction and related works, maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, sketches and site instructions by the supervising qualified persons and project consultants
• Observe and comply with site safety, and submit all reports as directed and ensure that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner
• Liaise with the contractors/sub-contractors in the coordination of site works
• Highlight discrepancies, feedback site progress and irregularities
• Supervision for excavation
• Supervision for tower crane operation
• Supervision for crawler crane operation
• Supervision for basement ERSS
• Other specialist work supervision required under BCA & LTA
• POWS under PUB for water/ Sewer pipe monitoring

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university, with accreditation as a Registered Resident Engineer with the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Resident Engineer
• Thorough knowledge of the Building Control Act, relevant regulations, and standard forms of contract.
• Demonstrated capability in contract administration, including maintaining proper site documentation and compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with clients, consultants, and contractors.
