Project Engineer - Maritime
Roles & Responsibilities
We are expanding our team of project engineers to support the delivery of advanced dynamic positioning software solutions. This role combines office-based engineering tasks with extensive international travel to vessels for commissioning activities. We seek engineers who are proactive, adaptable, and capable of working independently in diverse environments.
Dynamic positioning systems automatically maintain a vessel’s position and heading using its own thrusters and propellers. This technology is critical for offshore operations where anchoring is not feasible, and it plays a key role in enabling the transition to renewable energy sectors such as offshore wind.
Key Responsibilities
Software commissioning on vessels worldwide
Participate in installation and commissioning, including customer acceptance testing (CAT).
Conduct dynamic positioning software system commissioning globally (approx. 120 travel days annually).
Software engineering in office
Prepare for and participate in internal (IAT) and factory acceptance tests (FAT).
Develop project documentation including design specifications and procedures.
Engage in technical meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Collaboration and communication
Maintain excellent communication with headquarters to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Act as liaison between customers and engineering teams for commissioning, maintenance, and system operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybernetics, Control Engineering, Marine Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related fields.
Diploma holders with at least 5 years of naval experience or 3 years in shipbuilding.
