Software and Applications Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise software applications and business-critical systems.
• Lead software development, implementation, and support teams.
• Oversee application lifecycle management including upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and improve application functionality.
• Ensure application availability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Manage incidents, problem resolution, and change management activities.
• Monitor application KPIs, SLAs, and operational performance.
• Support digital transformation and automation initiatives.
• Manage vendor coordination and third-party software support.
• Participate in architecture planning and technical decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, governance, and audit requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project updates.
• Lead Agile/Scrum project delivery activities.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory Skills

• 10 years of experience in software/application management or application support.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise applications and software systems.
• Experience managing software development and support teams.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, ITIL, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with application deployment and release management.
• Knowledge of databases, APIs, and system integrations.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-management skills.
• Experience with incident, change, and service management processes.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and application governance standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP, CRM, HRMS, or enterprise platforms.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and automation tools.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and reporting dashboards.
• PMP, ITIL, Scrum Master, or cloud certifications preferred.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree or relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
