We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Industrial Buyer to support our procurement operations in Jurong. This permanent position is ideal for candidates with experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry, and who are looking to grow their career in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure best value in terms of price, quality, and service.
• Select vendors based on technical, commercial, and operational requirements.

🔹 Procurement Compliance & Process Excellence

• Ensure compliance with procurement processes and act as an ambassador of procurement excellence.
• Promote automation, digitalization, and best practices across all procurement activities.

🔹 End-to-End RFQ Management

• Serve as the main GASP contact for assigned business units.
• Manage the RFQ process from initiation to award in collaboration with plant stakeholders.
• Facilitate RFQ planning and resolve roadblocks proactively.

🔹 Data-Driven Improvement & Strategy Execution

• Collect and analyze site data to support the development of category-specific strategies.
• Gain alignment from decision-makers and leverage volumes for optimal outcomes.
• Set and monitor KPIs to track procurement performance and value creation (GASP).

🔹 Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support change initiatives and ensure buy-in for new procurement processes.
• Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders and provide solutions to procurement challenges.

Requirements:

✅ Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline
✅ 3–5 years of procurement experience in the chemical, petrochemical, or related industrial sectors
✅ Familiarity with procurement tools/systems (e.g., SAP, GASP)
✅ Strong negotiation and communication skills
✅ Analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
✅ Proactive, independent, and adaptable in a dynamic work environmentt
