Art Director

Roles & Responsibilities

Fjord Creative Company is looking for an Art Director with strong capabilities in both visual design and motion to lead and elevate our creative output.

This role is ideal for someone who excels at developing key visuals and campaign ideas, and can also bring those ideas to life through motion, animation, and video storytelling.

You will play a key role in shaping creative direction across projects — from big campaign visuals to motion execution — while ensuring consistently high creative standards across all deliverables.

Beyond execution, you will also help guide and mentor the team, contributing to a strong creative culture within the studio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of campaignideas and key visuals across brands and platforms

• Translate concepts into strong visual systems (KV → adaptations → motion)

• Ensure consistency and qualityfrom static design through to motion execution

• Create motion graphics and videocontent that support and enhance campaign ideas

• Guide storyboarding and supportvideo production when required

• Collaborate closely with accountand creative teams from concept to execution

• Provide creative direction andfeedback to designers and motion artists

• Maintain high standards inlayout, typography, and visual storytelling

• Manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced agency environment

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in acreative agency or similar environment

• Strong portfolio demonstrating:

Campaign thinking and key visualdevelopment (ESSENTIAL)

High-quality motion graphics andanimation work

Ability to translate staticvisuals into engaging motion

• Strong motion design skills withthe ability to:

Create original animations fromscratch (not template-based)

Demonstrate strong timing, pacing,and storytelling

Develop motion across formats(social, digital, campaign videos)

• Proficiency in Adobe CreativeSuite (After Effects is a must)

• Experience with Premiere Proand/or 3D (Cinema 4D, Blender, etc.) is a plus

• Strong understanding of layout,typography, and visual hierarchy

• Ability to balance hands-onexecution with creative direction

• Experience mentoring or guidingjunior creatives is an advantage

• Strong conceptual thinking andproblem-solving skills

• Comfortable working in afast-paced environment with tight timelines
