Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

We are looking for experienced Chinese Cuisine Chefs to join our kitchen team.

We have opportunities across different Chinese restaurant concepts, including positions suitable for candidates with experience in Chinese regional cuisine.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and restaurant standards.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation and portion size.
• Prepare ingredients before service.
• Ensure food is prepared and served within the required standards and time.
• Monitor food quality and freshness.
• Maintain proper food storage and handling procedures.
• Follow food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the assigned workstation.
• Minimise food wastage and control ingredient usage.
• Assist with stock checking and ingredient preparation.
• Work closely with the Kitchen Supervisor and other kitchen team members.
• Support the kitchen during peak service periods.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.

Job Requirements

• Relevant experience in Chinese cuisine is strongly preferred.
• Candidates with experience in Chinese restaurants or Chinese regional cuisine are encouraged to apply.
• Good knife skills and food preparation techniques.
• Able to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Team player with a positive and responsible attitude.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays where required.
• Candidates with relevant experience in Sichuan cuisine or other Chinese regional cuisines will be an advantage.
