IT Executive
Roles & Responsibilities
About the Role:
We are seeking anexperienced and proactive IT Executive to join our two-person IT team and support the IT Manager in managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure,user support operations, and security environment across a 200-person organization.
This is a hands-on role that will work closely with the IT Manager on day-to-day IT operations, systems administration, network reliability, cloud management, endpointsecurity, and IT projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IT Operations & User Support (35%)
- Provide day-to-day IT support to users and ensure prompt resolution of IT-related issues and requests.
- Follow established IT helpdesk procedures, escalation workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Balance daily user support requirements with ongoing IT projects, system upgrades, and maintenance activities.
2. Infrastructure& Systems Administration (35%)
- Support the maintenance of company-wide IT infrastructure, identity management (e.g., Azure AD / Entra ID, Microsoft 365), and cloud/SaaS tools.
- Manage remote endpoint management (MDM) for approximately 300 devices - including laptops, mobile devices, hardware provisioning, and deprovisioning.
- Support reliable data backup routines, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness. (3-2-1 backup strategy)
3. Cybersecurity& Compliance (20%)
- Implement and maintain corporate cybersecurity standards, including MFA deployment, zero-trust policies, endpoint protection, and patch management.
- Assist with regular security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and user access audits.
- Support the IT Manager in handling technical escalations and responding to cybersecurity incidents or threats.
4. Vendor & Asset Management (10%)
- Coordinate with IT vendors on hardware procurement, software licensing, ISP/SaaS service agreements, and technical support matters.
- Maintain a central IT asset register, including hardware lifecycle tracking, software subscriptions, and maintenance schedules.
Requirements &Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or technical support.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Engineering, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Windows/macOS endpoint management (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf). Hands-on experience with cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or Google Workspace). Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, DNS, routers, switches, and zero-trust remote access.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a small IT team, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams are essential.
