IT Project Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

Our Client is an established Singapore BPO organisation with a proven track record with local and APAC clients. The work environment is serious with direct feedback provided all the time for continuous improvement. After work hours, they like to relax and go for dinners or/and drinks to socialise to encourage better communication between staff and the management team.

The Client is seeking an IT Project Manager to oversee small to medium-sized IT projects. You will coordinate with clients and stakeholders while working alongside the project team.

Responsibilities

• Review IT solution specifications and business requirements, and guide the team in developing a comprehensive project plan.

• Examine project plans to establish timelines, budgets, and task completion methods.

• Ensure the profitable delivery of quality business systems for external customers, on time, within budget, and in accordance with user and system requirements.

• Manage end-to-end project processes from request for proposal through development, testing, and final delivery.

• Oversee the quality, productivity, and consistency of project deliverables.

• Plan and manage resources across functional specification development, testing, and user training phases.

• Collaborate with the technical team to ensure requirements are realistic and implementable.

• Conduct regular project reviews and recommend adjustments to budgets, resource allocations, or timelines as needed.

• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to support and achieve business objectives.

• Chair routine project status meetings with the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.

• Minimum five (5) years of working experience in managing IT projects.

• PMP or CITPM certification is required; candidates without certification but with strong relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Selected staff will be sponsored for project management courses and certificates.

• Experience managing mid-to-large scale IT projects with contract values exceeding S$1 million is preferred.

• Strong communication and coordination skills.

• Must be eligible for and willing to undergo Security Clearance; all personnel assigned to the project are required to have received Security Clearance prior to commencing work.

Soft Skills

Able to take direct positive and negative feedback from team and management.

Good people management and relationship building skills.

Able to drive project steps independently with autonomy and raise issues at appropriate times.

Able to think in ambiguous situations and form solutions to resolve issues.

Fluent in English and an Asian language used in North Asia region.
