Resident Engineer (M&E — ICT)

Roles & Responsibilities

Qualifications & Requirements

● Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent

● Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as an engineer

● At least 5 years in supervision of works similar in complexity: ICT systems, technical competency, and general site supervision

● Good understanding of ICT passive infrastructure performance, structural containment loading, and testing methodology including OTDR/OLTS

● Able to use software like Revit and Navisworks to determine BIM and cross-check physical structural on-site progress

● Ability to identify separation of services compliant with CP 5 (Code of Practice for Electrical Installations)

● Relevant experience in Fiber/Copper layout cable pull tension and minimum bend radius

● Knowledge of proper installation sequence, bracketry, load rating, and IP-rated weather sealing

● Understanding of IMDACOPIF guidelines including space dimensions, lead-in pipes, and space allocation

Key Duties & Responsibilities

● Oversee and supervise ICT passive infrastructure scope including cabling, trays, containment systems

● Coordinate ICT scope with M&E and structural teams to resolve interface issues

● Use BIM/Navisworks to cross-check against approved models

● Maintain interface registers and documentation for ICT scopes.
