Roles & Responsibilities

Role OverviewWe are seeking a versatile and energetic Disc Jockey (DJ) to curate live music sets, manage sound equipment, and elevate venue energy. The ideal candidate possesses sharp track-selection skills, crowd intuition, and technical fluency with industry-standard DJ setups to deliver seamless musical experiences across club nights, corporate functions, and themed events.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, mix, and perform live DJ sets tailored to the venue format, crowd energy, and event schedule.

• Read crowd dynamics and transition smoothly across genres to maintain strong dancefloor momentum.

• Conduct sound checks and operate DJ equipment (CDJs, digital controllers, mixers, microphones, and basic PA setups).

• Collaborate with event managers, sound engineers, and fellow performers to align timing and music cues.

• Curate, update, and maintain a broad, up-to-date digital music library complying with public performance copyright guidelines.

• Follow house safety guidelines, noise decibel thresholds, and venue operational SOPs.

Requirements

• Proven background or live experience as a club, lounge, mobile, or event DJ.

• Technical proficiency in standard DJ hardware (Pioneer CDJ/DJM lineups) and performance software (e.g., rekordbox, Serato, Traktor).

• Broad musical knowledge spanning genres such as EDM, house, hip-hop, open-format, commercial pop, or regional hits.

• Strong beatmatching, harmonic mixing, crowd engagement, and microphone presence.

• Dependable, punctual, and adaptable to high-energy entertainment settings.

• Flexibility to work late nights, weekends, and public holidays in accordance with venue operational schedules.
