Job Description

• Position: Accountant
• Company: Well-Established Marine & Offshore Engineering and Shipyard MNC
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm
• Salary: Up to $7,200, commensurate with experience
• Variable Performance Bonus
• Working Location: Great World City
• Required to travel to Jalan Samulun 2–3 times per week; company transport will be provided

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end closing entries for Singapore and Saudi Arabia entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely reporting.
• Review general ledger transactions to ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for Singapore and Saudi Arabia entities.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support annual statutory audits and the preparation of financial statements for Singapore and Saudi Arabia entities.
• Prepare corporate tax computations and support tax compliance requirements for the respective entities.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and within stipulated deadlines.
• Support transfer pricing documentation and manage accounting matters relating to intercompany transactions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance finance processes, controls and operational efficiency.
• Serve as a key Finance Business Partner to the Saudi Arabia subsidiary, providing financial guidance to support business operations while ensuring compliance with established SOPs, internal policies and control frameworks.
• Prepare management reports and assist with regulatory and statutory submissions, including government surveys.
• Undertake other ad-hoc finance and accounting assignments as required.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably within a regional or multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore FRS/IFRS, GST and corporate taxation.
• Experience in statutory audit, financial reporting and tax compliance across multiple entities.
• Experience supporting cross-border operations is preferred, particularly exposure to the Middle East or Saudi Arabia.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Prior experience in team management or supervision will be advantageous.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with good attention to detail.
• Able to work effectively with stakeholders across different countries and business functions.
