Executive Engineer, Mechanical

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Design and perform calculations for mechanical engineering systems including ACMV, fire protection, plumbing, and sanitary systems to meet project requirements
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and life cycle analyses to support building engineering project planning
• Prepare detailed study reports, design reports, technical notes, and public consultation papers to communicate project findings and proposals
• Develop comprehensive tender documents and technical specifications to guide procurement processes
• Evaluate tenders and prepare thorough assessment reports to support informed decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables align with client expectations
• Support project management and contract administration activities to maintain project progress and compliance
• Ensure all designs and implementations comply with Singapore’s local building codes and regulations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks to produce accurate engineering drawings and models
• Familiarity with sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems to contribute to environmentally responsible projects
• Strong project management skills to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address technical challenges and optimize engineering outcomes
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities to maintain high-quality documentation and project records
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey technical information and collaborate with stakeholders
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within teams
