Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze vessel operating costs, including crew, maintenance, fuel, insurance, consumables and food.
Track and analyze actual vs. budget/standard costs and identify variances.
Monitor costs at a detailed level by vessel, cost item and project/status.
Review purchase orders, invoices and outstanding commitments with operational teams.
Monitor and track Variation Orders and project recharges.
Prepare clear and concise financial reports, cost analysis and KPIs.
Work closely with Vessel Managers, Crewing Managers and other operational teams on cost performance.
Support budget preparation, forecasting and cost optimization.
Work with Accounting on monthly closing, accruals and provisions.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial and cost reporting.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and corrective actions.
Improve cost control tools, reporting processes and standard cost accuracy.
Support ad-hoc financial analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
5–8 years of experience in operational cost control or controlling.
Experience in maritime or industrial sectors preferred.
Strong experience in cost analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
