Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Officer (SSO) to join a well-established organisation within the hospitality industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, employees and premises while delivering professional and courteous service.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control & Security Screening

• Attend to enquiries from visitors and stakeholders in a professional manner
• Manage key presses and access control procedures
• Conduct security screening of visitors, properties and vehicles
• Authorise and facilitate access to designated premises

Security Patrol & Threat Detection

• Conduct regular security patrols and guard assigned premises
• Monitor and regulate crowd and traffic movement
• Identify security risks, irregularities and suspicious activities
• Handle suspicious persons and vehicles according to established procedures
• Operate security and safety systems
• Support operations within the Security Command Centre

Incident & Emergency Management

• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies
• Assist relevant authorities with law enforcement matters when required
• Support emergency evacuation procedures
• Prepare and escalate incident reports in accordance with established protocols

Requirements

• Minimum Secondary School qualification
• Must possess a valid Senior Security Officer (SSO) Security Licence
• Minimum 2 years of relevant security experience in a similar capacity
• Comfortable working a 6-day work week and 3 rotating shifts
• Able to work weekends and public holidays according to roster
• Professional, vigilant and service-oriented
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
