QA Engineer (Avionics) - YOKOGAWA ELECTRIC ASIA PTE LTD

Roles & Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE :

To liaise with customer claims, and solve quality problems and perform FAE / FAI & approve on new products / parts evaluation and judgment related to Avionics products.

NATURE & SCOPE :

1. Perform first article evaluation (FAE / FAI) and on new parts / products that are newly manufactured.

2. Conduct shipping judgement meeting for first-time manufactured and shipped-out products.

3. Handle quality claims from customers through corrective action request (CAR / NCR) : evaluate, verify and disseminate information to respective departments.

4. Manage claims to ensure root causes are analyzed and effective corrective / preventive action are being taken. Ensure prompt follow-up and replies on claims.

5. Revise department‘s work standard according to job-flow changes.

6. Conducts process audits according to schedule.

7. Assist production lines on solving quality matters; discuss and feedback on any improvement.

8. Provide engineering support and advice to other members.

9. Coordinate monthly quality meeting.

10. Supervise subordinate.

11. The above mentioned job scope is for but not limiting to avionics related product activities.

12. Perform other job duties as and when request upon.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

1. Duly judge and inspect that first-time manufactured products / parts are produced with accordance to standard requirements and certify as fit for shipment.

2. Promptly evaluate and disseminate to respective departments on claims from customers, especially dead on arrival (DOA).

Promptly provide support to production lines / related departments on quality matters.
