IT Auditor/Data Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Auditor/Data Analyst role that will provide you with valuable exposure and growth opportunities in the field of internal audit.

Responsibilities:

• The primary role is to assist with the conduct and overseeing of any internal or outsourced IT audits. The selected candidate will have the opportunity for greater exposure into other business audits.
• Support the Internal Audit (IA) department in IT-specific audit scope, including planning, fieldwork, analysis, and reporting, in accordance with the planned audit timeline.
• Coordinate and liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of audit assignments.
• Prepare comprehensive and well-written audit reports, working papers and other relevant documentation.
• Monitor and perform audit issues follow-up on the remediation status of IT audit issues.
• Support the IA team by utilising data analytics tool(s) to examine irregularities or patterns in transactions that could indicate control weaknesses or fraud.
• Assist in the implementation of data analytics initiatives, audit management system configurations and/or any automation initiatives.
• Create standard procedures, processes and best practices for data analytics to be used for current and future audit works.
• Communicate and validate audit findings against data analytics results, visualising and presenting the data insights to affected process/control areas as part of audit work.
• Stay current on data analytical applications, tools, techniques and approaches.
• Contribute to the preparation and development of the annual IA audit work plan, audit universe updates and budget to ensure coverage of key IT audit areas.
  

Requirements:

• Discipline in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Business Analytics or a related quantitative field.
  
• Familiar with best practices in IT audit methodologies and internal auditing standards, including control design documentations, process narratives and documentation of flow charts.
• Strong report writing, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  
• Highly self-driven, demonstrate critical thinking, creative, fast learner, results-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure.
  
• Technical background and exposure in IT General Controls (e.g. COBIT), IT Cyber Security, IT Application Controls, IT Project Management or IT Service Support and Management would be advantageous.
  
• Experience using advanced data analytics techniques to create dashboard solutions, analytical models, analysis plans, etc. Hands-on experience with data analytical tools including KNIME, ACL, R, Python, SQL, TeamMate Analytics, etc, would be beneficial.
