To support the Eastern Hemisphere fleet by ensuring vessels are manned with competent, qualified, and compliant crew. This role involves end-to-end coordination of crewing operations, including crew planning, documentation, certification, crew changes, and compliance with international regulations and client requirements. The Crewing Executive works closely with internal departments, external agencies, and vessel masters to ensure smooth and timely crew mobilisations, while maintaining accurate crew records and supporting crewing-related audits and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Crewing Manager in all aspects of crew management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards across the managed fleet.
- Verify crew qualifications and documentation prior to joining.
- Create, update, and upload crew personal files into POSEIDON.
- Prepare Crew Matrix and compile required documentation for client submission.
- Handle all P&I cases, including cost compilation and documentation.
- Manage visa processing and ensure compliance with crew certification legislation.
- Administer flag state applications and related requirements.
- Ensure crewing functions are carried out in compliance with the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Ensure all crew members undergo rigorous appraisals by the vessel's master and / or appointed shore-based superintendent.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute crew changes for company vessels.
- Manage crewing functions such as crew changes, sourcing, recruitment, and retention.
- Ensure all crewing operations comply with local laws and regulations in operational regions, as well as client and charterer requirements.
- Ensure joining crew members meet competency standards and regulatory / client requirements.
- Support the increase of local content by improving fleet localisation ratios.
- Verify crewing expenses and ensure timely submission of accruals and weekly crewing reports.
- Perform any other ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
