Position Title : Regional Sales Proposal Manager – Compression
The Regional Sales Proposal Manager within the Siemens Energy Compression business is a key function within the broader sales organization, responsible for identifying the solution and driving the proposal development process. You will be responsible for achieving the regional sales targets and growth objective along with our high performing regional sales team while developing technical solutions, cost modelling, proposal development, and working with key partners across the entire Siemens Energy global operations organization. This role will require close partnerships with customer relationship teams and shall be the interface into the engineering, supply chain, operations, and global manufacturing product centres. You will create and develop advanced service offerings including Modernization & Upgrades, Repairs, Field Services, Parts, and Digitalization solutions across the entire compression portfolio. You will support the APAC regional organization while also working in close collaboration with our global operations teams located in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East, & Asia Pacific to deliver order entry growth and operational excellence. This role reports directly to the Global Head of Sales & Bid Management for a segment within the Siemens Energy compression business.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead the overall bid and proposal development process for complex projects related to centrifugal, reciprocating, geared compressors, and gas engines; understand customer requirements, develop technical solutions, set strategy, influence key decision makers, and navigate complex internal and external selling environments.
- Drive service business growth across core markets and portfolio including Modernization & Upgrades, Repairs, Field Services, Parts, Controls, Service Programs, and Digitalization.
- Develop and articulate a winning value proposition while achieving company growth and profit goals.
- Build and maintain a strong internal network with Siemens Energy stakeholders and partners to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional service.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the regional business.
- Participate in and potentially lead Siemens Energy growth initiatives as needed.
- Monitor market and industry trend activity.
- Perform front-end technical evaluations, basic calculations, and preliminary design / proposal reviews to mitigate technical risk.
- Develop clear technical and commercial proposals and present data to customers to capture profitable business.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Chemical or equivalent) with 5+ years in technical sales, bid management, or business development in oil & gas, power generation, or industrial services, with a proven track record.Strong knowledge of compressors or industrial rotating equipment; experience with a Compression or major rotating equipment supplier is preferred.Strategic orientation with detailed knowledge of products, services, and markets of centrifugal, reciprocating, or geared compressors; understanding of compressor performance and application principles.5+ years of compressor engineering experience including aero and mechanical design, impeller fabrication, rotor construction, seals / bearings / couplings, assembly, testing, installation, servicing, and repair (API-617); system knowledge of lube & seal packages and process controls.Ability to baseline subject compressors with minimum data and promptly develop high-level solutions for client dialogue.Experience working with multinational organizations and diverse cultural environments; strong intercultural communication skills.Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills with ability to deliver on time and with high quality.Strong communication and presentation skills to internal and external Senior Leadership.Strong networking and relationship-building skills across hierarchy levels.Willingness to travel up to 20% within the region and internationally as required.Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce.com, and Tableau preferred.Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
