The Business Development Director is responsible for driving the company’s growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the construction and contracting industry. This role requires strong industry networks, strategic leadership, and the ability to lead teams in achieving revenue targets and long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue new tender, bid, and contract opportunities in construction, engineering, and related sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, consultants, government agencies, and key industry stakeholders .
- Lead the tendering process , including proposal preparation, pricing strategies, and negotiations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities.
- Work closely with senior management to set sales and revenue targets .
- Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions, and trade shows .
- Prepare and present business reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the board of directors.
