Role
The Supply Chain Operations Executive is required to work closely with the commercial and operations team to manage and support the operational needs and fulfilment of customers’ orders in an efficient and effective manner. This role will also require close collaboration with suppliers, commercial teams and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations across Asia Pacific (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, etc).
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for inventory management, maintain and optimize inventory levels to avoid deficit and overstocking
- Carry out demand forecasting in driving automation, augmented with analytics. Supporting the customer service teams to improve their understanding of their customers
- Manage the order placement / management. To generate and manage purchase orders where applicable based on demand forecasts and inventory targets, taking into account cost, lead times, and supplier performance.
- Managing risk management by identifying potential supply chain disruptions and developing contingency plans to mitigate risks
- Ensure continuous improvement through analyzing and improving materials planning processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Provide data analysis capability by utilizing data analysis tools and software to make data-driven decisions for materials planning.
- Be the focus point of communication, maintain clear and effective communication with cross-functional teams, and driving S&OP
End-to-End Supply Chain Duties
Issue Purchase Orders (PO) to suppliers.Manage the end-to-end ordering process.Follow up on schedules, verify documents, prepare WA / delivery documents and ensure on-time delivery.Daily duties include handle direct delivery (3pl drop shipment), GR / GI, damage shipment investigation and claims, revise quarterly pricing whenever required, revise RDD etc.Prepare and update stock availability report.Manage common material allocation.Communicate and coordinate with suppliers, monitoring stock status and expedite with suppliers where needed.Logistics and shipping arrangement from initiate and tracking of a shipment through its entire lifecycle, from its initial point of origin to its final delivery destination.Other ad-hoc duties and secondary task relating to job function whenever assigned.Material Planning
Request and consolidate forecasts from molders.Compile forecast and distribute to suppliers weekly / monthly.Provide stock simulation updates whenever request by commercial.Seek approval for additional material purchase.Work closely with suppliers to support the input of forecasts into their systems and maintain inventory planning templates.Requirements
Recognised degree / diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience in similar capacity.Good conceptual knowledge of material planning and demand forecasting.Previous experience in material planning engaged in the manufacturing, distribution or compounding of plastics resins is an added advantage.Well-versed in shipping incoterms.Able to converse well in English and Chinese with good written English skill.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including MS Excel.Possess excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude, adaptable and flexibility.Tell employers what skills you have
