Responsibilities :
- Monitor reservation activity daily and communicate status with Sales Department.
- Follow up on tentative sales bookings with respective Sales Manager to update status.
- Ensure files are accurate and kept current.
- Liaise with Clients to coordinate wash according to the attrition policy.
- Liaise with Clients to obtain rooming lists.
- Ensure room blocks are released to general inventory after cut-off dates or cancellation.
- Ensure rooming lists are input accurately into the PMS system.
- Pre-block rooms where special requests are made.
- Follow up on any no-show from bookings and liaise with Clients on the non-arrival charges.
- Assist in maintaining a close working relationship with all departments of the Hotel.
- Assist rest of the department whenever necessary in performing all job functions.
- Maintains a very good reputation for the Hotel and assist to increase the overall profitability of the Hotel.
- Check and monitor the room inventory and alert Reservations Manager of high / low demand dates.
- Having a positive attitude towards work; be self-motivated.
- Contribute to overall operational efficiency by performing relevant duties as assigned.
- Establish good public relations with all guests.
- To propose and contribute ideas to the betterment of the department.
- Provide guests with the most accurate and up to date information at all times.
- Ensure that at all times maximum guest satisfaction is being achieved through guest recognition and prompt cordial attention.
- To provide current update on reservation trends and forecasts for current and future dates.
- Full knowledge of detailed procedures in handling room booking.
- Thorough knowledge of the PMS & its operation and usage.
- Ensure guest’s name, revenue segment, distribution channel and purpose of stay are update accurately in PMS.
- Attends meetings when required.
Key Job Requirements
Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality ManagementMinimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track recordsExcellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English languageProficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPointTo be successful in this sought after role, you will demonstrate the ability to excel within a luxury brand.
You will also bring with you a passion for service, excellent organisational skills as well as communication skills, be results orientated with a dedication to exceeding customer expectations.
Previous experience in a five-star environment is desirable, and above all else, pride yourself on ability to build relationships and guest experiences epitomising French elegance, style and sophistication.
