Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities :
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve assigned targets for steel pipes (eg. seamless, welded API 5L, ASTM grades).
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted sectors such as oil & gas, construction, shipbuilding, water infrastructure, and manufacturing.
- Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations to prospective clients.
Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and project contractors.Provide prompt responses to inquiries, quotations and order confirmations.Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.Technical & Product Knowledge
Understand steel pipe specifications, grades, dimensions, standards (API, ASTM, EN, ISO) and coating / lining options.Advise clients on product suitability, technical requirements, and compliance with project specifications.Work closely with manufacturers to prepare accurate bids and proposals.Market & Competitor Analysis
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.Identify gaps in the market and propose new sales initiatives.Order Management & Coordination
Coordinate with production, logistics and quality team to ensure timely delivery of orders.Monitor project schedules and resolve issues that may impact delivery or customer satisfaction.Requirements :
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial products sales, preferably steel pipes or related productsFamiliarity with international standards (API 5L, API 5CT, ASTM A106, ASTM A53, etc.) is an advantage.Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.Proficient in MS Office; experience with CRM systems is a plus.Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Willingness and ability to travel when required for business purposes.(We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.)
