Job DescriptionThe Master Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and tracking project schedules for the Lead Maintenance Activity (LMA) contract supporting US Navy vessels in the Indo‑Pacific region. This role involves close coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure that ship repair, modernization, and maintenance projects are executed on time and in accordance with contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will be a detail‑oriented, organized, and proactive professional with experience in military or heavy industrial scheduling. Key Responsibilities Schedule Management : Create and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project, or other relevant software. Incorporate inputs from internal and external teams, including logistics, engineering, production, and subcontractors, to develop comprehensive project timelines. Monitor, track, and report on the progress of all scheduled tasks against the project baseline. Identify and flag critical path activities and potential delays, assisting the Program Manager in developing mitigation and recovery plans. Coordination and Communication : Serve as the central point of contact for project scheduling inquiries, coordinating with the US Navy's local team (e.g., SRF Detachment Singapore) and other contract stakeholders. Facilitate and lead scheduling meetings, providing accurate and up‑to‑date schedule information. Prepare and distribute regular schedule reports, including status updates, three‑week look‑ahead, and forecasts to the project team, management, and the client. Data and Analysis : Collect and analyze project‑related data to provide insights on schedule performance and resource utilization. Support the preparation of time‑impact analyses (TIAs) and other documentation as needed for changes to the project scope. Contribute to the “lessons learned” process to promote continuous improvement in project scheduling. Logistics and Lifecycle Support : Coordinate with logistics and material teams to ensure that schedule plans align with material and equipment availability. Assist in documenting lifecycle support requirements and ensuring they are integrated into the overall project schedule. Use knowledge of military logistics processes to help minimize operational disruptions for naval forces. Required Education, Experience & Skills Experience : Minimum of 4 years of experience in project scheduling or coordination, preferably in a government contracting, military, or heavy industrial environment. Education : A Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field. Skills : Proficiency with project management software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Security : Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
