Construction Project Manager
🎯 Job Purpose
To lead, plan, supervise, and deliver construction projects in compliance with Singapore building codes, safety regulations, timelines, and budget requirements, ensuring quality workmanship and effective coordination among consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
📌 Key Roles & Responsibilities
1️⃣ Project Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute overall project strategies, schedules, and milestones
- Prepare project work plans, resource schedules, and procurement plans
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, and authorities
- Ensure project compliance with BCA, URA, PUB, SCDF, and MOM regulations
2️⃣ Site Management & Coordination
Oversee daily site activities and ensure smooth progressManage subcontractors, suppliers, and site workforceConduct site progress meetings and prepare reportsResolve on-site technical issues and ensure proper work sequencing3️⃣ Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare project cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement plansMonitor project cost and control variationsEvaluate quotations and approve contractor / sub-contractor invoicesEnsure project delivery within budget and approved cost limits4️⃣ Quality & Safety Assurance
Implement and enforce Quality Control and Quality Assurance proceduresMaintain compliance with BCA Quality Mark / CONQUAS standardsEnsure work site complies with WSH Act & Safety RegulationsLead toolbox meetings, safety audits, and risk assessments5️⃣ Documentation & Contract Management
Prepare and manage project documentation, drawings, and permitsCoordinate with authorities for inspection and approval processesMaintain project report logs and site documentationManage contract variations, extension of time (EOT), and claims6️⃣ Stakeholder & Client Management
Act as main point of contact with clients and consultantsProvide regular project progress updates and reportsAttend client meetings and address project concerns promptly
Handle effective communication between commercial and technical teams🛠️ Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of BCA building codes , SCDF requirements & authority submission processesExcellent leadership and workforce coordination abilitiesStrong problem-solving & decision-making skillsProficient in project planning software (Microsoft Project / Primavera / AutoCAD reading)Good communication & stakeholder management skills🎓 Education & Experience
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent10+ years’ experience in construction project supervision and executionFamiliar with Singapore Construction Standards (SS EN, BCA Codes, WSH)WSQ Safety certifications preferred (e.g., BCSS / WSH related course)Tell employers what skills you have
