Role
Overview : We are
looking for a meticulous and proactive Quantity
Surveyor to manage cost estimation, budgeting, and
contract administration for our construction and fabrication
projects. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring
cost efficiency and project profitability from tender to
completion.
Key
Responsibilities :
Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities
(BQ), and tender submissions
Evaluate and
compare supplier and subcontractor quotations
Monitor project budgets and advise on cost control
strategies
Prepare progress claims, variation
orders (VO), and final accounts
Review
contract terms and ensure compliance with project specifications
and timelines
Conduct site measurements and
valuations when required
Liaise with clients,
consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors on commercial
matters
Support procurement by sourcing
materials and negotiating prices
Assist in the
preparation of monthly cost reports and cash flow
forecasts
Requirements :
Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building,
Construction Management, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction or
metal works (roofing, decking, or structural steel
preferred)
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and
measurement software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam)
Knowledge of local construction contracts (SIA, REDAS, or
PSSCOC) is an advantage
Strong analytical,
negotiation, and communication skills
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects
under tight deadlines
bilingual in Mandarin or Malay is an added advantage. We are
seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin / Malay to effectively
communicate with Mandarin / Malay-speaking
clients.
