Job descriptionGuide and train junior mechanics and apprentices in repair and maintenance tasks. Provide technical advice to Plant Engineer and supervisor. Ensure all repair work complies with safety and quality standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, parts usage, and service reports. Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly and safely. Identify required spare parts and materials for repairs. Support in maintaining stock levels and proper usage of workshop inventory. Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and management regarding machine conditions. Provide technical recommendations to improve machine reliability and performance. Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy machinery repair and maintenance. Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Team oriented with a positive and responsible attitude. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and workshop equipment. Good communication and reporting skills. Written and spoken basic English On-the-job training will be provided

The Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining machines on construction sites.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows :
Repair & Maintenance
- Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, forklifts, cranes, light and heavy-duty trucks, generators, etc.).
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines and company SOPs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues effectively.
