Summary :
We are seeking a skilled
and experienced Linux Systems and Storage Administrator. This role
involves the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable
operation of Linux server infrastructure and cutting edge software
defined storage solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep
understanding of Linux operating systems, strong troubleshooting
abilities, and proven experience in designing, implementing, and
managing enterprise level software defined storage
environments.
Key
Responsibilities :
Linux System Administration
operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) on physical and
virtual servers.
troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal uptime, stability, and
security through patching and hardening.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access
controls
infrastructure services (e.g., DNS, DHCP, NTP, LDAP, VPN,
ZTNA).
recovery procedures, and participate in disaster recovery
planning.
Software Defined
Storage (SDS) Administration
Design, deploy, and manage highly available and scalable Software
Defined Storage solutions (e.g., Ceph, GlusterFS,
OpenEBS).
and object storage, including capacity planning and performance
optimization.
data protection strategies such as replication, snapshots, and
erasure coding within SDS.
performance metrics, and troubleshoot issues to ensure data
integrity and accessibility.
with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and container platforms
(Kubernetes), automating provisioning via scripting and
APIs.
Operational Excellence
& Collaboration
routine tasks using scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl) to
enhance efficiency.
rotations and collaborate with other IT teams on infrastructure
projects and continuous improvements.

environments.
Required Skills and
Qualifications
in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a
related field.
a Linux System Administrator in a production
environment.
the design, implementation, and administration of enterprise grade
Software Defined Storage (SDS) solutions (e.g., Ceph, GlusterFS,
OpenEBS, Veritas InfoScale, Nutanix Acropolis, or
similar).
Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS,
Ubuntu).
command line interface (CLI) and advanced shell scripting (Bash,
Python, Perl).
networking concepts (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls,
routing).
technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and their integration with
SDS.
solving, and analytical skills.
work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced
environment.

Preferred
Skills and Certifications :
Professional certifications such as Red Hat Certified
System Administrator (RHCSA), Linux Foundation Certified System
Administrator (LFCS), CompTIA Linux+, or LPIC 1.
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g.
Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Knowledge of cloud
platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization
technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience
with database systems (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Familiarity with IT security best practices and intrusion
detection / prevention
systems.
