About the Role
Location : Batam (Indonesia)
The Senior Project Manager – APAC is responsible for leading and overseeing the full lifecycle delivery of data centre projects across Singapore, Indonesia, and the wider APAC region. This role ensures that all projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards — while maintaining strong client relationships and commercial performance. The successful candidate will act as the regional delivery lead, overseeing multiple project teams, coordinating resources, and driving consistent standards and reporting across all assigned projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership across multiple data centre projects, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Lead the project lifecycle from bid and pre-construction through design, installation, commissioning, and client handover.
- Drive a zero-incident safety culture, ensuring RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) and safe systems of work are implemented at all times.
- Supervise project and installation teams, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to specification.
- Ensure all projects comply with ISO and internal business systems, delivering consistent quality and defect-free outcomes.
- Oversee commercial management activities, including risk assessment, subcontractor performance, and cost control (CVR reporting).
- Support bid activities, ensuring tenders are commercially and technically competitive while meeting client expectations.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as the senior point of contact for clients across the region.
- Collaborate with the commercial and supply chain teams to manage contracts, procurement, and subcontractor engagement.
- Conduct site surveys, review designs, and ensure technical and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee and review project reporting using company templates and ensure transparent communication with all stakeholders.
- Lead team development, coaching, and performance reviews, identifying high-potential talent and fostering continuous improvement.
- Contribute to regional and corporate strategies, supporting business goals and operational improvements.
- Uphold the organisation’s data protection and information security standards in all client and internal interactions.
- Represent the business professionally at client meetings, industry events, and stakeholder engagements.
Requirements
PMP certification (or equivalent) with minimum 5 years’ experience in senior project management roles.Proven expertise in the data centre industry, ideally covering both white space and grey space environments.Degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline preferred.Strong commercial acumen — proven experience managing project P&L, forecasting, and risk management.Demonstrated ability to manage multi-site, cross-functional teams across international borders.Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills.Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, with demonstrable leadership in implementing safe systems of work.Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain partners to meet contractual and delivery targets.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) and project reporting tools.Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities under high-pressure environments.Commitment to maintaining relevant accreditations and certifications.Flexibility to travel throughout the APAC region as required.Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted .
