Role Summary And Impact
This role will directly contribute to regional growth in APAC, aligning with our global strategy of innovation and excellence. With 12,000+ employees spanning 16 culturally diverse markets, we thrive on the strength of local expertise, unified by a global vision, to deliver impactful solutions for our clients. In this role, you will take an active part in the commercial management of international multi-market clients to help build long-term profitable relationships. You will provide commercial guidance to our Client teams and manage the performance of our contractual rights and obligations to build strong, transparent partnerships with Clients to ensure profitability and sustainability of our engagements over time. The role requires constant communication with clients and internal stakeholders. You will also work to expand, preserve, or improve the Company’s compliance with Client contract terms, procedures, standards or policies while adhering to business edicts and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities Of The Role
In 3 months
Be conversant with WPP Media Commercial and Client contract related policiesEstablish initial contacts with market and regional commercial and client stakeholdersBe familiar with market practice and establish relationships with key stakeholdersRead and understand all (assigned) Client contract terms and obligationsDevelop understanding of control and compliance for key client contractsEstablish connections and relationships with Global Commercial Client teamsUnderstand WPP Media Trading products, Digital operations & WPP Media ServicesImplement reporting timetable in coordination with Global Commercial team and compile / submit reports to Clients and internal stakeholdersPrepare client commercial reportsGenerate monthly financial and management reports as neededCommunicate financial performance and net working capital, identifying risk and opportunities related to client activityIn six months
Contribute to regional commercial activities, including supporting markets regional consolidation and controlsEducate and advise local markets and Clients teams to develop a Commercial mindsetPropose ideas to maximize profitability of services and products to Clients in strict compliance with contract termsBuild relationships and ensure regular connections with Client procurement teamsMaintain client contracts and key terms, including timely renewals and guidance in drafting new contractsSupport markets with client compliance auditsCoordinate market / regional commercial activities related to the performance of assigned Client contractsSupport debt management (credit insurance in place), payment issues, and disputesUnderstand market forecasts for all components of Net Sales and explain movements vs forecasts and prior yearIn 12 Months
Lead Commercial and Client contract activities, reporting, renewal, updates, incentives and audits for all assigned ClientsWork closely with procurement teams and brief local markets to proactively build and strengthen client / procurement relationshipsUnderstand contributors to market revenue generation, growth levers and profitabilityEstablish regular reviews of Client profitability and provide recommendations to marketsIdentify opportunities for revenue streams and manage scope of work and service levels for various remuneration modelsSkills And Experience
6 to 8 years of experience with a proven commercial background in client contracting and negotiationsStrong commercial acumen in Finance and / or LegalAbility to lead and deliver results in a highly motivated, demanding environmentStrong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret performance trends and take proactive actionGood regional experience working across countries and teamsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with finance and non-finance stakeholders across culturesSharp, action-oriented and able to sell ideas convincinglyOperational / commercial experience with the ability to add value and facilitate changeHighly self-motivated, flexible and proactive; takes ownershipFinancial and client commercial management in an advertising environment is a plusExperience influencing senior management and working in a fast-paced businessLife At WPP Media & Benefits
