Overview
A leading developer is seeking an accomplished Deputy Director, Investment to drive strategic investment initiatives across private equity and adjacent asset classes. The role combines opportunity origination, rigorous financial analysis, and end-to-end deal execution. The ideal candidate brings deep transaction experience, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine investment theses aligned with corporate strategy and growth priorities.
- Source, evaluate, and execute opportunities, including comprehensive financial, commercial, legal, and operational due diligence.
- Build and own detailed financial models, valuations, and sensitivity analyses to inform decision-making.
- Lead workstreams across negotiations, structuring, documentation, and closing, partnering closely with legal and external advisors.
- Prepare investment committee materials and present clear recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Monitor market dynamics, regulatory developments, and competitive activity to identify risks and opportunities.
- Manage portfolio value creation initiatives post-investment in collaboration with management teams.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with investment banks, advisors, co-investors, and industry partners.
- Oversee transaction timelines and deliverables to ensure disciplined and timely execution.
- Uphold compliance with internal governance, risk, and all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the firm at conferences and industry events to build market presence and deal flow.
Essential Qualifications
Advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field preferred.Proven track record executing investments in private equity, infrastructure, or related sectors.Strong command of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and corporate finance.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into actionable insights.Collaborative mindset and high ownership in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments.Desired Experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience in investment management, M&A, or corporate development with increasing responsibility.Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional deal teams and external advisors.Experience across Asia-Pacific markets with familiarity in local regulatory and business landscapes.Fluency in English; proficiency in additional Asian languages is a plus.Application Process
