- Coordinate air export shipments with customers and LSPs.
- Prepare and process house airway bills (HAWBs) for general cargo, hazardous materials, perishable goods, and other relevant shipments.
- Manage customs permit declarations in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Respond to all customer and sales team inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team and internal operation teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to the customer's Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure that all data is accurately updated in the system and coordinate with relevant parties including customers, warehouses, carriers, and destination team to fulfill shipment requirements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure that all shipments are billed in a timely manner.
- Oversee and manage supplier invoice disputes to ensure prompt resolution.
- Lead the initiative in resolving issues and monitor progress to ensure the timely closure of all job files.
- Maintains all required reports / paperwork, performance reviews and personnel records through established paperwork guidelines.
- Responsible for the handling of contracted suppliers in terms of rates justification, service quality, billing process and airline BSA renewal.
- Instructs employees with / on methods to instill a service-consciousness attitude and minimizes service failures.
- Ensures cost effectiveness of operations through established control of equipment, utilities and supplies.
- Maintains regular contact with customers (internal and external) regarding conditions affecting service levels.
- Oversees movements and activities of all related products to ensure maximum efficiency.
- To oversee air export for flawless operation.
- Take on additional projects relevant to air operations as assigned by Manager.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE
Academic :
- Bachelor degree or above.
Experience & knowledge :
- Five (5) years’ experience in freight forwarding / logistics, preferably with some exposure in management / supervisory.
- Extensive experience, comprehensive knowledge, and certification as a CargoWise specialist are highly preferred.
- Certification in DGR will be considered an additional advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding operations and processes. Good understanding of customers, agents and sister offices operations and procedures, including daily operation and financial settlements.
