Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. User Needs & Product Strategy
- Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability tests) to identify unmet emotional needs (e.g., loneliness alleviation, stress management, life transition support) across target user groups (e.g., young adults, older adults, wellness seekers).
- Define product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals—prioritizing features such as personalized conversation flows, sentiment-driven response adjustments, and multi-scenario companionship (e.g., bedtime storytelling, anxiety coping guidance).
- Analyze market trends in AI emotional wellness and conversational AI innovation to identify differentiation opportunities.
2. AI Feature Design & Technical Collaboration
Translate user emotional needs into clear product requirements (PRDs) for AI-driven features—e.g., optimizing natural language understanding (NLU) for emotional nuance and designing sentiment feedback loops to adjust tone and empathy.Collaborate with AI / ML teams (algorithm engineers, data scientists) to define technical specifications (e.g., training data requirements, conversation memory architecture) and ensure timely feature delivery.Partner with design teams to craft empathetic user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) that feel warm, human-centred, and emotionally safe.3. Product Launch & Iteration
Lead cross-functional launch efforts (engineering, marketing, support) for new features or product versions, developing go-to-market (GTM) messaging that highlights user value.Monitor product performance metrics (e.g., session duration, repeat usage, user satisfaction, emotional impact) via analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, or custom dashboards.Drive data-informed iteration by identifying pain points (e.g., irrelevant responses, emotional misalignment) and prioritising enhancements to improve user experience and trust.4. Compliance & Ethical Governance
Ensure the product adheres to global data privacy and ethical AI standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA where applicable), including transparent data-usage policies and safeguards against emotional harm.Develop guidelines for “emotional boundaries,” such as redirecting users to professional mental-health resources when appropriate, in consultation with clinical advisors.5. Stakeholder Alignment & Communication
Communicate product progress, user insights, and roadmap updates to senior leadership to secure alignment and resources.Collaborate with customer support teams to document user feedback and address experience issues (e.g., conversation empathy or tone consistency).Requirements
