Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders under Global Banking to support initiatives on Lending Transformation, workflow automation, and process optimisation.
- Lead the automation of new business processes and streamline existing ones, removing blockages and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Build close relationships with Business, Technology, Sustainable Finance, and COO teams to align product roadmaps and deliver benefits that meet client needs.
- Provide overall governance of Global Banking businesses, ensuring compliance with governance requirements, control and risk reporting via the Operational Risk Framework, and regulatory standards.
- Support business in contributing to the bank’s revenue targets and achieving efficiency.
- Enable the CIB ‘Originate and Distribute’ Strategy from the COO Office perspective.
- Represent Global Banking interests across multi‑functional project teams—business, COO, technology, legal, compliance, risk, and TPRM.
- Assist in overseeing global pipelines, forecasts and P&L, underwriting portfolios, and valuations / RWA for the business head, engaging in senior discussions.
- Support and manage the tools required by the business to perform their roles.

Product management / ownershipProduct delivery lifecycle experience using Agile ways of working (Scrum, ADO, etc.)Process improvement, stakeholder management, and communicationInternal controls and business process designData‑driven decision making and product analyticsExperience with transformation, preferably as a Product Owner, and managing backlogs with digital toolsUnderstanding of industry trends and client needs across workflow automation, project management, and Agile practicesOur Ideal Candidate
Education : Professional qualification or master’s degree preferred.Training : Product owner, scrum master, banking, business management, change management, agile ways of working.Languages : Business communication competencies.Experience : 8+ years in Corporate & Institutional Banking (or equivalent) with hands‑on experience in transformation, tech projects or initiatives for Credit business.Certifications : Product Owner certification (or equivalent) is an added advantage.Skills : Strong prioritisation, analytical, verbal and written communication, and ability to negotiate backlog priorities with key stakeholders.Character : Effective team player, builds trust‑based relationships, and demonstrates excellent stakeholder engagement.About Standard Chartered
