Accounting Manager

Coordinate accounting and produce financial reports, cash-flow statements, profit projections and yearly audit

• Manage day-to-day matters of the Accounting and Finance department such as payroll, invoicing, accounts receivables, payables and other transactions
• Review month-end and annual closing activities and reporting, including tracking and reporting of monthly variances.
• Quickly flag out issues that require Management's attention.
• Manage and lead the finance team to ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and year-end closing reporting
• Oversee and provide guidance to accounting team in operational finance matters to ensure compliance to internal controls, accounting standards, legal and statutory requirements (including corporate tax and GST reporting matters)
• Responsible for budget planning and cash flow planning (i.e., closely monitor operating cashflow and present during the monthly HOD meeting)
• Responsible for tracking the financial performance of the company and its subsidiaries
• Responsible for the full set of accounts of Fuheng Engineering Sdn Bhd
• Facilitate and provide information to auditors and tax agent for the completion of income tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs, as necessary
• Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company, analyse financial reports
• Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
• Review and update financial policies and procedures for the company
• Prepare Financial Statements and coordinate with auditors for the yearly audit
• Year-end passing of audit entries into accounting system
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the Management and CFO
• Assist the CFO in ad hoc reporting requirements and eventually implementation of an ERP system.
• Minimum 6-years of experience in accounting and financial reporting function and Minimum 2-years of experience in a managerial roles in an audit firm and commercial firm
• Full set reporting experience
• Experience in preparation of Consolidation accounts is plus point
• Experience in construction firms or companies that deals with percentage of completion reporting is preferred;
• Team work mentality is important as he / she will be assisting the CFO in formulating and fine tuning the reporting workflow and data collection process,
• Pro-active and be prepared to roll up his / her sleeve to dig out data and compile them into useful information if the data is not readily available,
