The Director, Membership – Alliance Onboarding & Exits , based in Singapore, reports directly to the Senior Director, Membership within the Corporate Strategy Business Unit. This role is responsible for managing processes of integrating new members and managing the departure of existing ones. The director will oversee the seamless integration of new airlines into the alliance, ensuring they are fully enabled and aligned with Star Alliance's Core Values & Standards. This includes coordinating with internal teams and the new members’ integration teams. The role is also responsible for professionally and effectively managing the formal exits or disintegration of member airlines from the alliance. Finally, the director is responsible for the initial evaluation of potential new airlines for alliance membership, which includes assessing their business case and overall relevance to the alliance's value proposition.

- Alliance Integration : Oversee the seamless integration of new airlines, ensuring they are fully aligned with Star Alliance's Core Values & Standards. This involves close coordination with both internal teams and the new member's integration team.
- Exit Management : Professionally and effectively manage the formal departure process, or disintegration, of member airlines from the alliance.

15+ years of airline or airport management experience.Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Aviation or a related field.MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.Deep Airline Industry Expertise : An extensive and proven background in the airline industry, with a strong understanding of airline operations, business models, and the competitive landscape.Knowledge of Alliance Business : A comprehensive understanding of the airline alliance business, including its strategic value proposition, operational benefits for members, and the role of alliances in the broader aviation ecosystem.Strategic & Analytical Skills : The ability to evaluate potential new members through a strategic lens, assessing their business case, financial viability, and relevance to the alliance's long-term goals. Must be a data-driven professional who can foster relationships and achieve measurable results.Strong Relationship Management : A proven track record of fostering strong, high-level relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, both within the organization and with member airlines.Cross-functional Collaboration : The ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including legal, commercial, and operational teams, to ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding processes.Strong Project Leadership & Coordination : Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate complex, cross-functional projects. The candidate must be skilled at managing stakeholders, timelines, and resources to ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding processes.Operational Acumen : A strong grasp of the operational and procedural aspects of managing member transitions, from the initial evaluation and due diligence to the final legal and logistical steps of integration or departure.Executive Communication : Master the ability to communicate and present complex information to senior leaders and boards with conciseness, clarity, and impact.Ability to lead beyond direct reports and effectively influence colleagues across multiple levels, fostering alignment and engagement within geographically dispersed, multicultural teams.Ability to foster a culture of excellence and ownership, cultivating passion and accountability.High level of proficiency in English is essential for communication with Star Alliance Member Airlines and other external stakeholders.We Offer
