Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description
- Implement and oversee the Safety Management Plan, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, including client's project safety standards and programmes.
- Collaborate with the Client's Corporate QHSE Manager / Officer and JV company representatives on reporting, audits, and site visits.
- Proactively demonstrate and promote the correct safety culture across the project site.
- Review and approve Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Job Safety Risk Assessments (JSRA) submitted by contractors.
- Coordinate and conduct health and safety audits, including those performed by the Contractor's WSHOs and WSHCs, to ensure compliance with Client requirements and the Safety Management Plan.
- Maintain accurate health and safety records, including safety statistics, lead and lag indicators, and ensure correct reporting of data.
- Develop and deliver basic health, safety, and environment (HSE) training to project team members and workers.
- Lead investigations into incidents and near misses using the ICAM Incident Investigation Process, ensuring proper reporting and closure.
- Log all safety incidents and near misses into IndustrySafe and notify the AECOM SHE Manager as required.
- Monitor and submit weekly and monthly Safety Joint Inspection reports, incorporating observations from AECOM-appointed sites and field-based staff.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure regulatory standards and safety requirements are enforced at the Project Site.
Qualifications
Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or related industries.Possess Specialist Diploma in WSH or other MOM-recognized qualifications.Good knowledge of local WSH regulations, Codes of Practice, and risk management frameworks.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with management, staff, and contractors.Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to respond effectively in emergency situations.Tell employers what skills you have
