Roles & Responsibilities
Job Descriptions
1. Quality Control & Inspection :
- Perform detailed QC buy-off inspections of precision-engineered parts, assemblies, or systems at various stages of production, utilizing industry-standard inspection techniques (e.g., CMM, visual inspection, functional testing).
- Track non-conformance reports filed during the buy-off process and develop and implement preventive action plans to mitigate recurring defects.
2. Process Development
Design and implement quality assurance protocols, checklists, and testing procedures specific to precision engineering workflows.Establish, update, and ensure adherence to quality documentation, including inspection reports and non-conformance records.Coordinate and oversee the First Article Inspection (FAI) process for new manufacturing processes or parts, ensuring compliance with industry and customer standards.3. Collaboration & Problem Solving
Work closely with design engineers to review technical drawings, specifications, and tolerances, providing feedback to enhance manufacturability and quality.Drive cross-functional initiatives to enhance long-term quality and reliability, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.Lead the tracking and investigation of quality-related returns and customer complaints using the 8D methodology, coordinating problem-solving efforts and implementing long-term preventive measures.4. Compliance & Standards
Ensure all products meet industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, or other relevant certifications) and customer requirements.Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory and supplier quality standards.5. Continuous Improvement
Analyze quality data and trends from issue tracking systems (Project Issue Log) to identify opportunities for process optimization and defect reduction. Classify issues into relevant disciplines such as quality, operational, or design-related concerns.Host post-mortem discussions after project closures, documenting lessons learned and integrating preventive action plans into future workflows.6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality metrics using digital Quality Management Systems (QMS).Prepare detailed reports for management and clients on quality performance, compliance status, and improvement initiatives, providing actionable insights to drive quality excellence."7. Any other Task Assigned by Direct reporting manager or Stage BU head.
