Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our team. You will work on a wide range of non-contentious matters for individual and corporate clients—handling wills and probate work, simple agreements, and corporate secretarial matters. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys client-facing work and managing matters from start to finish across a broad spectrum of practice areas.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and draft wills, powers of attorney, probate applications and related correspondence and documentation.
- Draft, review and negotiate simple agreements and legal documents such as service contracts, consultancy agreements, non-disclosure agreements, lease agreements, and other personal or commercial contracts.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, client updates and advice in the range of the matters handled.
- Attend client meetings / correspondence, gather facts, explain basic legal options, draft letters and maintain client relationships.
- Maintain and manage matter files : track deadlines, ensure documentation is complete, coordinate with registries / courts / external parties, and ensure smooth workflow and high-quality client service.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualified lawyer admitted to the Singapore Bar with 1-3 years of litigation experience in courtDetail-oriented and highly organized with strong drafting, negotiation and client-service skills, able to manage a varied workload and multitask to bring a matter from start to finish while meeting deadlines in a busy environment.Proficient in spoken and written English; able to communicate orally in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients.Proficiency in MS Office.Due to quota constraints, the position is intended for Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents .
