Statutory Compliance Lead 1 year contract

Job descriptionLead a team of 3-4 members Collaborate with APAC outsourced partners like auditors and tax agents. Ensure timely and accurate completion of statutory filings, including tax. Provide IFRS-compliant guidance to internal stakeholders for accurate financial postings. Consolidate and standardize audit and tax reporting requirements across APAC. Create and update SOPs for audit and tax data processes. Support implementation and improvement of internal controls. Act as an advisor on accounting and tax-related topics. Holds a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. Liaison with business partners in China is required, business emails are written in mandarin - fluency in the mandarin language / ability to use translators effectively is required. Has had 3 years of financial regulatory and audit experience. Proficient in IFRS, internal controls, and tax principles. Experienced with Microsoft Dynamics D365 or similar ERP systems. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Adaptable, self-starter, capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment. 12-month contract role with exposure to APAC financial operations.
