Job Objectives
Ready for a mission-critical role? We're launching a new global Customs governance and seek a motivated Customs Operations Officer to drive excellence at our Satair spares distribution hub in Singapore. This state-of-the-art warehouse is serving our local, regional and global customers with aviation spares at a high variety of services levels.
You'll be the expert ensuring our customs processes are flawless, so critical aircraft parts get where they need to be. This role requires continuous cross-functional collaboration with Warehouse Operations, Process and Performance Improvement Teams, and the central Satair and Airbus Customs teams. Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with central Satair and Airbus Customs organisation to ensure latest regulations, tariffs and trade agreement are captured in the Operations process
- Ensure Operations process execution in compliance with relevant customs regulations and company policies
- Support internal and external compliance audits on customs and trade regulations
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in customs processes and procedures, lead related initiatives and contribute to projects to ensure an efficient execution of Customs Import and Export processes embedded in our end 2 end Logistics process
- Ensure that customs data are clean and taken into account in the overall business model, consolidate all import and export reporting declared by appointed broker
- Liaise with customs broker, freight forwarders and internal teams to resolve customs clearance issues at shipment level
- Contribute to Call for Tender process for Customs Broker by co-writing technical specifications, analyzing offers and supporting the selection process
- Define and monitor contracted KPIs, set up and run Monthly Business Reviews and lead corrective actions if contracted KPI targets are not met, monitor Cost vs. deliverables, ensure payments and support annual budgeting process

A relevant degree in international Trade, Logistics- and Supply Chain Management, or a qualified ambivalent with several years of work experienceMinimum 3 years experience working with aerospace supply chains or global logistics networksProven track record in customs operations or import / export compliancePreferred previous experience in a Freight Forwarding company or Supply Chain in an industry / producing companyKnowledge of regulations pertaining to customs clearance & logistics.Experience in operational systems including SAP and customs software systems , preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industryData affinity, knowledge of data analytics tools would be an advantage Project Management skills or process improvement tools (e.g. Six Sigma)Tell employers what skills you have
