Job Opportunity : Finance Executive – Energy Trading Firm
We are partnering with a growing energy trading firm to hire a Finance Executive to join their Finance & Risk team. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with an accounting background (Big 4 candidates welcome) who are looking to broaden their exposure across finance operations, trade support, and compliance in a dynamic trading environment.
About the Role
As a Finance Executive, you will play a key role in supporting a broad range of finance functions, including accounting operations, settlements, trade finance, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance. You will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, timely execution of settlements, and adherence to both statutory and internal controls. The role provides wide exposure to the energy trading business and direct interaction with traders, commercial teams, and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial databases.Support month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.Prepare financial reports, GST returns, and supporting schedules in line with accounting standards.Conduct KYC checks and maintain compliance documentation.Process vendor and customer invoices, payments, and daily bank reconciliations.Monitor settlement activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.Assist with audits, system improvements, and ad hoc projects.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on day-to-day finance activities.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or related field (some accounting background is a must).At least 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or trade operationsKnowledge of trade finance (e.g., Letters of Credit) is a plus.Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas).Meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented.Strong communication and interpersonal skills; a collaborative team player.Why Join
