The job holder reports to the Chief Executive Officer and the Finance and Audit Committee (FAC)
Job Overview :
Responsible for organisation’s financial operations and corporate functions covering :
- Strategic financial leadership planning, budgeting, financial health and sustainability, risk management and compliance management.
- Governance and compliance oversight
- Enterprise risk management
- Strategic human capital management, facilities management and procurement
- Corporate planning and corporate secretariat
Key Responsibilities and Duties :
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and implement long-term financial strategies that align with the Federation’s mission, objectives, and evolving external landscape.Oversight of finance and accounting operations, including financial performance monitoring, management reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, analysis, forecasting, statutory reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations.Manage internal and external audits and present annual statement of accounts to the Finance & Audit Committee, EXCO, Council and Annual General Meeting.Establish practices to minimize financial risks and organizational liabilities, and protect and optimize the financial assets to ensure long-term sustainability and value creation.2. Risk Management, Governance and Compliance Oversight
Lead cross-departmental reviews to enhance governance in operations and project management, especially in managing grants and programmes involving public funds,Ensure compliance with the Trade Unions Act and other relevant legislations and embed a culture of financial integrity and compliance throughout the Federation.Lead scenario analysis and broader enterprise risk management efforts to ensure strategic preparedness, organizational resilience and financial / business continuity.3. Strategic Human Capital Management
Ensure human resource strategy is align with the Federation’s goals and focus areas.Manage development of human capital to ensure sustainability and success.Oversight of human resource policies and compliance with relevant legislations and manage manpower cost and optimisation of resources to support strategic initiatives.4. Corporate Planning and Corporate Secretariat
Lead development and execution of the Federation’s corporate strategy and workplan and performance monitoring.Oversight of corporate secretariat functions and council affairs.Manage Council, Council Committees and Management meetings.Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholdersQualifications :
Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant with at least 10 years of relevant experience in leadership position.Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive financial health and business growth.Strong personal integrity and a commitment to good governance.Strong leadership, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Tell employers what skills you have
