Roles
Conduct
functional PT / OT assessment, planning and evaluation of treatment
to facilitate and optimize clients in their recovery
process
Select appropriate outcome measures to
enable evaluation of therapy progress and outcomes
Recommend assistive devices and equipment as well as
latest technology available
Provide client
education by empowering clients / caregivers with methods to enhance
health, mobility and functions through self-management
strategies
Perform clinical administration and
operations through development of clinical practice
guidelines
Set strategic direction for
training and development and plan continuing education programmes,
training and research activities
Participate
in the development of new and review of existing services and
professional standards
Develop new service
delivery models in keeping up with current evidence-based
practice
Act as a highly specialized source to
other professional colleagues internally and externally
Lead the implementation of new / or updated
assessment / treatment based on current evidences
Provide clinical supervision and team development for
support staff and
students
Resource
Management
Oversee
management process at centre level (inventory, routine
disinfection, cleaning, staff supervision, monthly statistics and
billing as per requirement)
Develop reports to
Rehab Manager and HOD as required
Conduct
staff development and performance review
Co -
develop annual L & D with Rehab Manager / HOD for AHPs and
therapy support staff
Implement professional
training and development framework for all rehab staff
Supervise staff who are under conditionally registered
under AHPC
Clinical
Quality and Safety
Oversee delivery of consistent and excellent clinical and
service quality to residents and sponsors
Responsible for the clinical quality and safety standards
for the department
Lead quality improvement
project(s) in the center / nursing home or within the
department
Implement clinical audit strategies
and perform peer audits on compliance to clinical
standards
Provide leadership in responding to
clinical incidents in compliance with organization's incident
management guidelines
Monitor team's clinical
and non-clinical key performance indicators in accordance to MOH,
AHPC, organizational and other relevant professional standards and
guidelines
Deliver training or in-service to
fellow colleagues (internal and external partners)
Plan clinical attachment programmes and develop clinical
training frameworks
Develop assessment methods
and tools to evaluate effectiveness of departmental training
programmes
Feedback
Management
Assist in
any investigation pertaining to complaints received
Escalate any unfavorable and unresolved feedback to
Manager, Rehab
Other
Duties
Assume any
other additional responsibilities as assigned by HOD and Manager,
Rehab
Maintain good communication skills with
residents and
sponsors
Requirements
Degree in Physiotherapy from recognized
institutions
Full registration with Allied
Health Professions Council, Singapore
Have at
least 12 years of working experience in a healthcare
setting
Have an interest in neuro and
geriatrics rehabilitation preferred
Applicants
must be willing to travel across Singapore
Proficiency
in Physiotherapy treatment implementation and manual handling
skills
Possess patient-centric, good
communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
Applicants must be able to communicate effectively with a
wide variety of people and cultures, maintaining a high level of
quality service
Ability to work effectively in
team environment
Self-motivated to keep up to
date with advances in the field of
