Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to conceptualise and design carbide press tools for high-precision metal stamped, deep-draw, and forming parts. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in tool design and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualise and design carbide press tools for high-precision metal stamped, deep-draw, and forming parts.
• Study part drawings and prepare layouts based on product requirements independently.
• Complete detailed tool designs in accordance with specifications and production needs.
• Ensure a smooth transition from product design and development to production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical design issues promptly, recommending improvements for new and existing tools.
• Coordinate with toolmakers during assembly and testing stages to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• Provide guidance to draughtspersons on modifications and simple tooling designs.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
