Sous Chef Cafe Lead and mentor kitchen staff, upholding hygiene and food safety standards. Prepare a wide range of dishes from hearty brunch items to fresh salads and house‑made bakes. Innovate seasonal menus and contribute to special promotions or events. Oversee food quality and consistency at every service. Sous Chef Chinese Cuisine Create and update menus, ensuring they are appealing, balanced (less salt or MSG, for example), and cater to various dietary needs and preferences. Alter existing recipes to healthier options or rearrange specific menus when one item is insufficient due to a last‑minute order. Oversee food quality and presentation standards when Head chef is not around. At the beginning of a shift, supervise preparation of ingredients, sanitization of workstations, and organization of kitchen equipment. Ensure that all recipes and pastes are documented in a neat and orderly manner. Track kitchen inventory and ingredients whenever Head chef is not around to keep appropriate products available. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, adhering to health and safety regulations and ensuring the kitchen environment is clean and organized. Handle minor repairs; if equipment breaks down because it was not properly cared for, the chef and staff will share the repair cost. Address any issues that arise in the kitchen, including food quality problems, staff conflicts, or equipment malfunctions. Job Requirements :
